Everything you need to know about navigating with Compassum.
Compassum is a personal navigation tool. Not a social feed, not a productivity tracker — a place to log where you are, set where you're going, and track the journey in between. It uses RPG-style gamification to make self-reflection and goal setting feel less like a chore and more like something worth showing up for. You're the main character. This is your map.
A Spark is a field note — lighter than a journal entry. Pick your mood, log your energy level, write a reflection, set an intention. Takes about 60 seconds. Every Spark earns XP and gets stored in your Field Notes, which over time becomes a map of your emotional terrain. The more you log, the more patterns emerge.
Click Create Account to begin. Choose your archetype, log your first Spark, and set a goal. The whole thing takes about 2 minutes. The Compass dashboard is your home base — everything branches from there.
XP reflects your engagement — log a Spark, make a decision, complete a goal, and you earn points. It's not gamification for its own sake. It's a way to acknowledge that showing up consistently takes effort. As your XP grows your rank evolves from Wanderer to Sage, giving you a visual sense of how far you've come.
Your archetype is your character class — a directional lens for how you navigate. Choose from Alchemist, Builder, Chronicler, Echo Diver, Ember, Luminary, Seeker, Steward, or Witness. You can realign anytime. Think of it less like a personality test and more like picking your playstyle for where you are right now.
The Decision Matrix helps you weigh options across five dimensions — Gut Feel, Alignment, Freedom, Feasibility, and Long-term Impact. Good for big decisions like career moves, relationships, or life direction. It scores each option and gives you a clear picture of what your instincts and logic are actually saying.
Yes — Compassum is a web app that works in your phone's browser. Just go to the URL and log in. A dedicated mobile app is on the roadmap. For now the browser experience gets the job done, especially for quick Spark entries on the go.
Your sparks, reflections, and decisions are yours. Compassum doesn't share your data or use it for advertising. This is a personal navigation tool, not a social platform. Your terrain is private.
Compassum was built by Hagan — a technologist with a background in consulting, AI, and data who got tired of apps that track everything except what actually matters. It started as a personal project and kept growing. Still early, still evolving — built in public, one feature at a time.
